Live a Life of Peace Despite the Chaos.
I’m here as a guide, and to create a safe space for others, particularly the parents and adult siblings of special-needs individuals, to be seen and heard, to feel settled within themselves, no matter the circumstances, and to have the tools to live day by day with the intention of experiencing joy as their birthright and cultivating contentment within themselves.
My Purpose :
To help each of us discover contentment within ourselves
and
To provide financial guidance to those with loved ones
with special-needs/abilities
We are each powerful beyond measure in creating wealth for ourselves, and by wealth, I mean a richness that goes beyond money, a richness of peace, joy and contentment that is possible no matter what life brings us. With certain tools and structures in place, we can each learn to optimize this richness so that we are present to and open to receiving the gifts available to us each and every day.
Hi, I’m Debbi!
I grew up the sister of a child with special-needs. Her name was Lori. Lori and I were less than a year apart. I was the oldest. And how I wound up being in life had everything to do with my relationship with Lori, and with my parents, and how I thought I needed to be to survive life.
My automatic, survival brain did not leave room for peace or joy growing up. My nervous system only knew fear, worry, and dread. And back then, there was little space for me to dare ask to have my needs met.
I spent my teenage and young adult years constrained by my thoughts about how things were and about who I was. About how hard I needed to work. About how others could have needs while mine needed to wait. About how it wasn’t ok to simply relax and feel joy.
Fast forwards several decades, I now know that true contentment is always in us, always a part of our being, from the day we are born until the day we die. I have learned tools and have an awareness that makes it possible for me to summons contentment for myself. It takes something. Every day. Sometimes it takes being ok with not being ok. Whatever ok means for you.
It took a few special coaches and teachers to get to this place. And I believe we all need a guide, someone who can be a witness outside of ourselves, to hold space for us to find alignment within ourselves.
I consider myself both a teacher and student in the area of cultivating contentment. I choose to specialize in working with those with loved ones with special-needs because those are my people. There is a common bond, an understanding of what it means to love and care for someone who is outside society’s definition of normal. And I have a desire for those individuals to know the true peace and joy that they each deserve as their birthright.
Why Choose Me as Your Guide to Contentment & Peace of Mind?
Compassion
The life experiences you have had are unique and valuable. They have made you who you are. Each experience, good or bad, is to be honored as a part of your journey. There is nothing to change or fix about you. When you are able to own all of who you are, then true expansion of your life is possible.
Grace
My commitment is to create a safe space to discover for yourself what it means to believe you are ok, even when it may not occur that way. Many times it is not the issue but rather the thoughts we have about that issue that causes us dis-ease. I will be that reminder to give yourself grace.
